Hello, You.

Hey! It’s me.

🖤 Hey there, I’m Kendra.

Welcome to my corner of the internet—where wit, wisdom, and the occasional Ohio State football appreciation post collide. (Go Bucks!).

I’m a 50-year-old single Black woman, divorced twice, thriving always. I’ve spent the last six years fully embracing the unencumbered life; and more often than not, it’s a vibe. I like the idea of love, but I like my solitude more—about 93.24% of the time, to be exact.

This is my space to talk about all the things that make my world spin: self-confidence, self-worth, beauty, fashion (classic, never trendy), fitness (knee-friendly because we protect the joints at this age), cooking, and the fine art of pouring a perfect glass of bourbon.  I’m also rediscovering health and wellness, so get ready!

By day, I’m an attendance secretary. By side hustle, I’m a digital marketer (former day job until I realized I didn’t know how to disconnect), interior design writer, and ghostwriter of dating profiles for people far more interested in romance than I am.

I’m a die-hard sports fan—Ohio State football and Duke basketball aren’t hobbies, they’re lifeblood. A while back, I realized I subconsciously view the world through team colors. I constantly envision college and pro teams when I see someone wearing a certain shade of blue, or a vehicle in a particular shade of red–I can’t help it! If you want to debate the greatness of The Scarlet and Gray or just need someone to co-sign your healthy disdain for That Team Up North, welcome home.

Oh—and since we’re talking passions: I’m turning my old home office into a vinyl-listening lounge. Because music fuels me from the moment my eyes open each day.

This blog is about confidence, reinvention (or is it, revitalization?), and living life on your own terms. If you’re here for that, welcome—pull up a seat.

This is Kendra.

I shouldn’t have to spell this out, but hey, here we are—welcome to This is Kendra, where your visit is 100% voluntary. If you’re here, it’s because you chose to be, so own your decisions accordingly. Now, if you need the fine print, check it out here.
